Angi und Chisu united again in Sydney!!!

Finally Antje arrived in Sydney and we are together again after 6 months :)

Admiring the Opera House
After days and days of wandering around the CBD of Sydney, shopping and eating, we had time to visit the a Wildlife Park, go to the beach and take pictures at the Opera House.

Enjoying Maroubra Beach

In the past week we had one good day with the perfect beach weather, so we decided to spend 5 hours at the sea. We had to take care as there were the so called "Blue Bottles", blue stingy jellyfish. A lot of little children were screaming and crying but we didn't touch any of them. We had fun to try out our bodyboards!

NYE in SYDNEY!!!

Like expected every backpacker in Australia was in Sydney on New Years Eve. I even met people that I hung out in New Zealnd with!
A couple of friends from Gold Coast went down to Sydney aswell, so we decided to spend New Years Eve together at the Opera House :)
Naturally it was very crowded... People already camped the night before to have a good spot to the fireworks. We went to Circular Quay at 1 pm, put our towels down and waited... 11 hours... was fuuuuuuunnn... Well, at least the weather was really good.

The fireworks were awesome! From everywhere they had fireworks, we didn't know where to look at. But still, it was very exhausting, so much waiting for less than 15 minutes show... It was good but I will definitely not repeat it...

neues Konzept

Sydney - Love or Hate?

Sydney... haven't really figured out my feelings for this city. But it definitely does not feel like home.
And as finding a job is a much more difficult mission than I expected I have spare time to show you some nice places and views from Australia's biggest city...

I'm still alive!

It's been over a month I know...
Just to keep you updated, I'm pretty tired rigth now, not gonna upload any pictures:

Passed all my courses, yay!
My 2 1/2 week trip to New Zealand was awesome! I <3 NZ!!!
Went back to Gold Coast to spend the last days with Julia, I'm gonna miss her!
I'm in Sydney right now, found a nice place to live, searching for a job... so it's kinda stressful.
Today I had to say goodbye to Britta with whom I spent the past days here. She's on her way to Germany.
Sydney is a busy busy city. I like the nice quiet places, the parks, the opera, the botanic garden, darling harbour. That's it. I hate the CBD city centre. People here are unfriendly, hectic and only watch out for themselves. I got too used to the Coast's relaxed lifestyle, the people there are laid back, just the way I like it! I miss the beach.

Last Week in Gold Coast...

It's so sad... It's the end of semester and the series of goodbyes started. I had to see a few lovely people off already and it will continue... :(
Time passed by too quickly, I can't believe the time with my newfound friends is coming to an end. Everyone will go their seperate ways in a few days, heading back to their countries or starting/continuing their journey through the world. I'm getting all emotional, haha.
I will try to enjoy my last days with everyone here as much as I can.
If there wouldn't be those stupid final exams...!
There is one thing that I will definitely not miss in Australia: Uni. University here is stupid!

But well, tomorrow is my last exam, trying to study right now actually...without success :D
Just to get some distraction, some thoughts to share with you. And some random pics from paradise.
