Scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef

I did a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef when I was in Cairns 3 weeks ago. I'm a bit slow about uploading pictures but they are coming eventually as you can see :)

It was a grey and windy day. The sea was very uneasy, bumpy waves. I got very seasick on our way to the Reef... :(
But once we were there everything was sweet :) We snorkelled on that first spot, it's really awesome at the Reef, sooo many colourful fishes!
On our second spot we went down with our diving instructor :)

I dived before in a swimming pool a couple of years ago but doing it in the actual sea, especially at the lively, huge reef is something else!

The camera didn't catch the beautiful colours that were down there unfortunately.

There is actually a clownfish hidden in the anemone. Just look closely on the right side.

My favourite: Turtle :)

It looks all dark and grey but actually it was light and the fishes had a shiny turquoise colour!

On our 3rd and last stop we snorkelled again but it was too windy and the waves were pushing us back to boat, so there we didn't actually see much. I held a sea cucumber in my hand!

A really cool day :)

By train it's approximately 1 hour from Gold Coast. With the student card it's really cheap to get there, around 4-10 $, it depends on the time.

Celebrating end of mid-semester exams!

Found some funny pictures on Facebook from last weekend ^_^
It was the weekend after my last mid semester exam, so it was crazy~, hehe.
Went to friends' house in Southport, it's huge and they even have a billard table in their living room. Was a pretty fun group there.We played some games and afterwards went to Surfers with some of them.
Can't really remember...joke.

Letzten Samstag hat das Brisbane Festival angefangen und es gab ein schönes Feuerwerk :)

I like fireworks <3

Meine Kamera hat's natürlich nicht so gut eingefangen und die meisten Bilder sind verwackelt. Aber war seeehr schön, es gab mehrere Stellen, wo sie das Feuerwerk starteten, die ganze Stadt am River war in Flammen :)

Eine war ganz gut, die andere kann ich nicht so gut einschätzen. Mal schauen.
