My previous week

My flatmate Hiro fell asleep on the beach for 6(!) hours. Result: A really bad sunburn on his entire front body. Ouch!

According to Julie, potatoe slices help...

We couldn't resist to take pictures :)

Life is good without assignments...even the weather is in a good mood!

The time after Melbourne was horrible. 2 assignments left and cloudy and rainy everyday :(
But it's over, finally!
After a 7 hour session in the library I was done with my last assignment on friday, so the weekend could begin!! Well, I still have one presentation to prepare and one report to write but it shouldn't be difficult.

Friday evening I invited some friends to come over. We planned a chilled out Karaoke night afterwards in Surfers but it turned out to be difficult to find a good bar without having to book a seperate room for Karaoke. I once had a fun night in a Karaoke bar but this time they wanted us to pay for the entry $10. Tsss, they even told us it's empty, so why pay $10 for that?!
We ended up going to a normal night club. Still fun :D

Saturday we all went to Brisbane for the Oktoberfest :)
Hehe, yes, even here they celebrate the German Oktoberfest. Of course, not like the originla one but still really cool. One big tent, chairs and tales outside, too, and the most important: a German food court. Sauerkraut, Bratwurst, Schnitzelbrötchen, Riesenbrezel, alles :D
I forgot my camera though... :(
The best part was the Bavarian band they hired. They were only here for the Oktoberfest all the way from Bavaria, hehe. They played all the German "Schunkellieder", sooo cool, haha. Felt like Karneval :)
Many many people in Dirndl and Lederhosen. The guys looked funny, the girls looked slutty. Well, I found out early that Australian girls like to wear "dresses" that barely cover their asses and have a huge décolleté.

Sunday, we made a trip to the Lamington National Park. We thought we were really lucky with the weather because it was sunny but when we arrived they told us that some tracks were closed. And it was exactly the track we wanted to walk to see all the waterfalls and the cool stuff :(
So we took another track... 7 km hiking for 1 lookout and 7 km back... it was not worth it. My poor feet got blisters :( Only cool thing was that we crossed the border to New South Wales on our way.
Well, still there were some good views...

Hollow trees

Lookout

Hiking through the rainforest

Colourful parrots :)

It was an exhausting but good weekend :) 13 hours sleep in 3 days but I made up for it last night.
